The main functions of the Digital and Information Technology Division are as follows:

  1. Responsible for providing ICT operational services and technical support to divisions, branches, and units to ensure that the ICT services delivered operate efficiently and smoothly, in line with MDA’s core service objectives.

  2. Ensure the effective and holistic management of ICT policies, digitalisation strategic plans, regulations, and procedures.

  3. Ensure the efficient and cost-effective management of ICT project development, including application system development, ICT infrastructure, ICT services, and ICT procurement, in accordance with MDA’s Digitalisation Strategic Plan.

  4. Ensure the effective and secure management of MDA data, including the MDA Registry, system integration, and statistical generation.

  5. Ensure the efficient and secure management of ICT service governance, facilities, and requirements, covering hardware, software, networks, security, data centres, disaster recovery, and related ICT infrastructure, serving as a catalyst for a more modern and effective MDA digital service delivery system to customers.

  6. Ensure the effective provision of ICT advisory services based on expertise, according to the needs of MDA divisions, branches, and units.

  7. Ensure the continuous relevance and implementation of ICT training programs and culture development initiatives to meet the needs of MDA staff through ongoing improvements.
